Research student successes: Ana ADI

Our colleague, Ana ADI (PDF), now in her 3rd year of her PhD has obtained this summer a prestigious grant from the Olympic Studies Centre which allowed her to travel to Lausanne and undertake primary research at the International Olympic Committee. The postgraduate programme is highly competitive, only seven grants being awarded this year. While in Lausanne Ana also attended the International Olympic Committee’s first ever forum on Sport, Peace and Development. Her review of the forum was published recently in Culture @ the Olympics (PDF).

After her grant in Lausanne, Switzerland, Ana received an invitation to attend the 17th Postgraduate Session of the International Academy held in July in Olympia, Greece and participated to a two-weeks long summer school in Beijing on Media Regulations in the Era of Convergence in August.
